Review of Hotel Oasis, Bhuj

Hotel Oasis, Bhuj

We went to Rann of Kutch in Feb 2017 and stayed overnight in Bhuj at the Hotel Oasis.

Location

Hotel Oasis is located 4 km from the Bhuj airport and 2 km from the railway station. The location is good given it is close to the market place and most of the attractions in Bhuj.

Distances from hotel Oasis to attractions in Bhuj:

Prag Mahal palace and Aina Mahal: 1.1 km
Kutch museum: 1.1 km
Sri Swami Narayan temple: 4.2 km
Bhujodi, also called Hiralaxmi Craft park: 13 km
Bhujia Hill: 2 km

Autos are readily available next to the hotel and the rates have to be negotiated. Rann Utsav tent city package included drop to the Bhuj railway station. Auto charged us Rs.50 to the hotel.

Rooms at Hotel Oasis

The hotel has deluxe, super deluxe and family suites along with single AC and non AC rooms. Our deluxe room had one queen size bed, cable TV, intercom and free Wi-Fi.

Its a decent hotel for an overnight stay but does not have any amenities in case you want to spend more time in the hotel.

Deluxe Room

Food/ Sankalp Restaurant

The hotel mainly caters to tourists travelling to White Rann (many foreigners) and its visible from their attitude (and the restaurant menu!). Their in-house restaurant called Sankalp has South Indian and Kutchi items on the menu.

The hotel strictly does not allow alcohol and non-veg in the rooms.

Breakfast spread was good, with buffet comprising of Uttapam, Aloo paratha, Idly and bread toast. Food is definitely exorbitantly priced when compared to what we can find outside. There are Gujarati thali restaurants in the market area which serve authentic dishes priced much reasonably than Sankalp.

Have you ever stayed in Hotel Oasis? Do you have any experience you would like to share?
